100-DAY CHALLENGE: Locally organized cohorT

In October 2019, three communities eight communities (New Orleans & Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, Santa Clara, California, and Chicago, Illinois) launched the first locally organized 100-Day Challenges. The system in each community was reinvigorated by the unreasonably ambitious goals the teams set, and the 100-Day countdown is underway! IN THE NEXT 100 DAYS… 

NEW ORLEANS & JEFFERSON PARISH, LA

GOAL: In 100 days, we will permanently house 100 youth and young adults, ages 18-25, experiencing literal homelessness. 75% will have living wage employment and/or be enrolled in educational/career path training. 35 youth and young adults who are unstably housed will be permanantly housed, and 90% will have living wage employment and/or be enrolled in educational/career path training.

SANTA CLARA, CA

GOAL: In 100 days, we will house 100 college engaged youth and young adults, ages 17-25, experiencing homelessness. 80% will identify as people of color & 25% will identify as LGBTQ+.

CHICAGO, IL 

GOAL: In 100 days, we will stably house 225 youth and young adults, ages 17-24, who are unstably housed – with 50% having had interactions/contact with at least one other system, including: justice, child welfare, behavorial health, etc.
