The Director, State and Local Policy provides organizing leadership, management, and evaluation of AWHA’s New Deal: Transforming the Way Home Initiative through policy, organizing, and advocacy work at the state and local levels. The Director reports to and works in tandem with the AWHA Executive Director.

The New Deal Federal Policy Fellow provides critical support to AWHA’s federal policy and advocacy work. The Fellow reports to and works in tandem with the AWHA Public Policy Director, YPT and Policy Analyst.

This is a 38 week fellowship starting when hired.

A Way Home America is interested in partnering with YYA (youth and young adults) who are passionate about transforming policy on our team. We currently have a cohort of policy-minded young people with lived experience of homelessness to inform and lead AWHA's policy priorities at the federal, state, and local levels and would love for YOU to join! We understand that to guide the work ahead, those most impacted by the crisis of youth homelessness must have primary influence.
